How the SANIDRY Vacuum Dryer Works
The SANIDRY (SHV) is a horizontal vacuum dryer with a sanitary design, specially developed for batch drying of crystalline, amorphous, paste-like or moist products requiring gentle treatment. The entire interior – including paddles, shaft and vessel – is heated to maximize heat transfer and reduce drying time.
The SANIDRY is ideal for pharmaceutical and sanitary production, as it can be wall-mounted for cleanroom installation. This allows the vacuum drum to remain inside the cleanroom, while technical components such as the motor and drive system are located outside – simplifying cleaning and reducing the risk of contamination.
The tight tolerances between the paddles and vessel wall ensure continuous product renewal against the heating surface, providing excellent thermal efficiency and consistent drying results. The large front door allows easy inspection and cleaning, and fully CIP/SIP-compatible versions are available for sterile applications.
The SANIDRY can be equipped with optional features such as choppers, sampling valve, automatic front door, heated shaft, ATEX 20/0 certification and cleanroom-to-technical area separation systems.
